Foodpile is a calorie tracker you operate through your AI assistant. Instead of tapping through a food database, you tell your assistant what you ate - and it logs it for you over Foodpile's MCP server.
Foodpile is a datastore, not an AI service. It keeps your goals and food entries and exposes them over MCP. The intelligence lives in whatever assistant you already use - Claude, ChatGPT, or Mistral. There are no server-side AI calls and no models running here.
To use Foodpile you need an AI assistant that speaks MCP - Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral, or another MCP-capable client. Adding a custom connector usually requires a paid plan on that assistant, so that's the one thing you may pay for. Foodpile itself is free.
Foodpile runs entirely on Cloudflare - Workers for the app, D1 for your data, and KV for sessions. It's a progressive web app, so you can install it to your home screen and get a daily reminder.
Foodpile is a free, independent project. A way to chip in for the running costs is on the way - thanks for being here in the meantime.
